Music transcends cultures and our bespoke international partnership with the LSO, which includes concerts in London, Tokyo and New York, is the first of its kind. The chance to entertain at these concerts provides us with the opportunity to thank clients, business partners and our people for their support and commitment – past, present and future.One of the common threads of our sponsorship work in Jersey is to invest in young people and their talents, through initiatives such as the Jersey Cycling Association Youth Academy and the Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship, which provides sheltered and secure accommodation for vulnerable young people on the island.
In order to maintain our growth, Moore depends on being able to attract talented and energetic young people, so it’s fitting that we should be able to use our resources to encourage their development across the community as a whole.
London Symphony Orchestra
The LSO is London's oldest orchestras and a registered charity. In order to continue to thrive and widen the opportunity for as many people as possible, around the world, to have access to their music they rely on the support of individuals, companies and trusts. The LSO needs to raise over £2m a year in order to continue to take on significant new projects.
It is the LSO’s dedication to excellence that has established it as one of the world’s finest symphony orchestras and our relationship with the LSO was inspired by a shared commitment to do whatever it takes to achieve excellence in a chosen field...
Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship
The Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship is an outstanding organisation that provides shelter and support for the most vulnerable of Jersey’s young people and provides them with an opportunity to become the best that they can. The Association has been running for 40 years and operates four accommodation houses, as well as providing house caretakers and a counsellor.
This sponsorship was originally an example of Moore doing whatever it takes to help an organisation at a time of difficulty. Since then, the Association has gone from strength to strength and we are proud to sponsor its famous series of Open Garden events throughout the summer, as well as the popular annual Sponsored Ride and Bridge afternoon.
Jersey Cycling Association Youth Academy
The Jersey Cycling Association Youth Academy (JCAYA) has been established to help more young people excel at the sport but also to encourage greater participation in a pastime which fosters a healthy lifestyle. The two main cycling clubs, Velo Sport Jersey and the Caesarean Cycling Club, working under the Jersey Cycling Association banner, have come together to create the Academy. The clubs have the enthusiasm, expertise and commitment of its members and we are hoping our support will help provide the additional impetus needed to enable the successful development of cycling.
The Moore Group is delighted to play a role in enabling the development of cycling as an alternative recreational and sporting activity for the youth of Jersey. There are many health and environmental benefits associated with cycling and the Youth Academy is a great way for youngsters to enjoy a healthy lifestyle that is also great fun.
